By accessing or using the Sift RSS web application (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Lacher Ventures, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Michigan limited liability company.
Sift is a web-based RSS/Atom feed reader. It lets you subscribe to feeds, organize them into folders, and triage items (read, save, dismiss). Sift is currently offered as a personal, limited, and evolving service, and features may be added, changed, or removed.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Sift you represent that you meet these requirements.
Sift uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account, and your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google’s terms and policies. We never receive or store your password.

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis and may be in an early or beta state. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue it (in whole or in part) at any time without liability.
The Service’s software, design, and the “Sift RSS” name are owned by Lacher Ventures, LLC. Content delivered through feeds belongs to its respective publishers and is subject to their terms. Your data — your subscriptions, folders, and triage decisions — remains yours.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect (and the much longer list of what we do not).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lacher Ventures, LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
The software behind Sift is built and maintained with the help of AI-assisted development tools. These tools are used during development and do not process your personal data or reading activity from the running Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of- laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Midland County, Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK or California, you have additional rights regarding your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability. We do not sell or share your personal information.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
